It was 11 degrees when I left the house this morning. It warmed up to about 22 by the time I got home. I rode from home to Reston and got 3 laps in before the rest of the VietVelo guys showed up. I then rolled home.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

looks like you guys were scooting right along on the 3 laps with the VietVelo crew.
would like to give it a stab one of these days in warmer weather if there is room.
with that circuit I could drop off the back if need be and try to grab on the train again when it comes around if things got too hot for me.
Greetings, Sir. You are very welcome to join any time. This is a great workout for you and I because these guys have a relatively limited time to ride. So far they tend to come out, ride quite fast, then head home. Riding from home it gives me more of a chance to warm-up and a seriously good workout to keep up with them.
The group that I rode with is not the only group out there. There were 4, 5 or 6 in our group depending on what lap you were on. There were 4 or 5 others who dropped off at the beginning and did their own thing.
You are most definitely invited to join. That's why I pointed this out to you. I'll likely be doing it a lot in the short term because it gets me home around 10am and I can get some work done on Sunday. As the weather gets better, I'm sure the rides will last longer.
The guys seem really nice and are quite good riders. I move in the pack a little differently than they do since I'm not out there to do much sprinting. I tend to set pace and when they sprint, I accelerate a bit to catch back on. Today my pulls were too long and I blew off the back on lap 3 with them. Dom was very nice to hang back and ride out the rest of that lap with me.
I think today is pretty typical of what my Sunday rides are gonna look like while I'm in testing. Depends on the weather, of course. I need to scout the roads between home and Reston in case the W&OD is icy. I'll try and do that this week.
