A great day for cycling the perm to SVP, backwards! I had just ridden out to SVP Shell Station on Friday. So it was a bit redundant, yet fun. Brittlebush and other flowers were blooming and the yellow as starting to peak for the palo verde trees! Chose to ride this route backwards today so went to the SVP first. Had to back track a bit due to Cotton Rd being under construction. Not many cyclists on the road. There was more traffic on SVP than I expected. My stop at the Shell was only to refill the water bottle. Then back down the grade and over to Sun City. Sun City was pretty calm and fun to ride with empty streets. THen at the last control I saw a sign for DQ and since I had wanted to explain this little strip mall, I rode around it a bit. The DQ is at the far south end and it was not open yet. Oh well no Blizzard today. Then for the run down El Mirage! Into a cross-wind so not nearly as fast as yesterday with the Geezers.
