Kalalua Trail Hike Kauai Napoli Ridge

Hiked w Sami, Eman, and Mary. The starting point of the Napali hike to the beach/waterfalls is the end of the road 56/560 North of Princeville. The hike is technical as we had steep rocky trail and streams to cross. The beach is ~2 miles hike and onto the waterfalls is another 2 miles. We had lunch at the waterfalls and Eman swam to the falls. The weather was warm and the hike was great. Mary was a mountain goat and she led/paced us. We ran out of water about 2.5 miles from the finish and got some clean running water from one of the streams that we crossed.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
