Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

I decided to repeat this training ride in preparation for commuting to work on my trike. In 10 days I plan to commute to work on either my trike or my bike. One of my friends is retiring and this will be his last ride to work. This will be via the IBM Commuter Breakfast at Joe's Pancake House. I am thinking I will need to ride my bike in order to keep up with them, but I will have to do this ride on my bike later this week to see how it compares to the trike.
Today's ride was 1.5 minutes faster than last Friday's ride of this same route. I also had a 1.5 rpm higher cadence today.
Does that mean I will gain a minute for each average rpm higher I pedal?
I don't think so, but it is an interesting coincidence.
I enjoyed today's ride and thinking of commuting by pedal power again.
As I was going down Avenida Los Reyes, just North of 22nd, I came to the trail that hooks it up to Avenida Los Reyes from the South of Broadway. This is at the end of the cul de sac. I was expecting there to be a nice transition from the road over the sidewalk, where there is a dip in the sidewalk for accessibility reasons. There was not. It was a normal rounded lip which is no problem at 5 to 10 mph, but at 20 mph it was a little rough. I caught air and was thrown up out of my seat by about six inches! I was afraid I might have damaged a wheel or the frame or something. However, I didn't notice anything on the rest of the ride or when I checked it out once I got home. It was an exciting surprise.
