For my first century, I took on the Enchanted Circle Century Tour, which begins in Red River. We toured through Questa, Arroyo Hondo, Taos, Palo Flechado Pass, Angel Fire, Eagle Nest, and finally Bobcat Pass on the way back to Red River. Honestly, it was about as long a ride as I could have done at this point. My bike performed well, and I finished only three hours behind Nina! To add to the fun, we were joined by Rebecca, Ezra, and Anona on the ride. I think I'll be doing this one every year. We were lucky this year to enjoy nearly perfect weather. The starting stretch down the Red River canyon was not too cold, and clouds blocked the sun for much of the afternoon as I slogged my way into Colfax County. I'm now confident that I've trained well enough for the Fondo in Sonoma County next month. I can't wait for that one (http://www.levisgranfondo.com). I'll be riding with Nina and some great friends from California.
