Long Ride 4/10/17    A bit of a surprise as we left Uxbridge as 11 joined me for the jaunt. Cliff agreed to be tail end Charlie. Off to 11’s at the Garden cafe Windsor. A brief foray through the big housing estate at Langley and along the cyclepath to Datchet and onto 11’s at the Garden Cafe Windsor. Last week I had a 2 day tour to Streatley YHA and on the return stopped for coffee at Sonning Mill, a lovely setting. With this in mind I decided to change the lunch venue to the Mill. It added around an extra 2 miles but was well worth it. Cliff was not amused though as they only sold small bottles of cider and it was pricey. Service was a bit slow but the food was good. Lunch over and toilets visited we adjourned to the carpark for a photo before heading back through Twyford, Hurst, White Waltham and Ockwells lane and onto Bray Wick and the path along the North side of the M4, past Dorney and onto Eaton where a general dispersal took place. It was now gone 4.00 o'clock, the time Nibbles closes so just 5 of us headed into Windsor and tea at the Cinnamon cafe, cyclists get 10% discount, with just 5 of us remaining. A nice 74 miles for me with  a good group of Loiterers. Tony..
