It was in the mid 60's when I started out. WONDERFUL! I rode out to Wilmot Road then back Tanque Verde Rd. and up Mt Lemmon to Prison Camp Rd. (Gordon Kabayashi). The ride up the mountain felt good. I focused on using a low gear and keeping my cadence up. It seemed much easier than past climbs up the mountain. But, alas, mountains continue unrelentingly and I eventually started getting tired. I was so tired that by the time I passed Molino Basin I was kind of surging. That is, I would slow down then realize I was dropping off and would then focus on mechanics and speed up - a little. I did this all the way to Prison Camp Rd. which I think is another mile or two.
I stopped at Prison Camp Rd., ate a Cliff bar and then rode down the mountain on my street luge. I am guessing my average will be just above 40 mph, but I won't know until it gets uploaded. I passed several other cyclists on the way down - like they were standing still. This was quite the blast, but also caused my to focus completely on the road and none of the scenery.
I then saw I had another two hours before I had to be home to get ready for work (I took a 1/2 day off this morning to train for the Cochise County Cycling Classic 97 miler) so I rode a relaxing section that didn't have many hills. This included going through 49er's Club, which is always a relaxing ride. I looked more at the scenery than the road, but there was no traffic (and the speed limit is like 15 mph I think).
It was a wonderful ride.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
