Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Daunell and I went out for a ride with our trikes coupled as a Tandem. It is enjoyable to be riding together.
Daunell drove the car down to the bottom of Ridgeside so she wouldn't have to ride up the hill since it is so steep. I rode down to her and she got on and we took off westward on Speedway.
It is not bad riding on the road. However, Daunell was frequently having coughing fits so we decided to turn back earlier than we would have otherwise.
I dropped Daunell off at the car at the bottom of the hill and rode the coupled trikes up to the house. That is about 800 feet. At the top of the hill just as I turned off Ridgeside, the back trike fell off! The bolt holding the hitch axle had come out. I check these critical bolts before leaving every ride, but it had come loose over the short 7 mile ride.
Needless to say, my confidence in this design just took a major hit. I have sent an email to Utah Trikes explaining what happened. We will see what their response will be.
I also provided feedback about how they only need two degrees of rotation since the steering of the fork provides the third. I relate this to a contributing factor to the hitch coming apart.
