I went riding alone today. Yesterday had bad weather, lots of fog. Prior to that, I had a sore knee. I had a sore knee today, but I wanted to see if I could nurse it back to health by riding easy. The first 10 miles were a little painful. I could hardly get out of the saddle. After the climb over Banducci, the pain in my knee went away. My guess is that the excercise increased blood flow to the knee and also stretched it in a good way. There was a wind on the way out and I was wearing my wind breaker so it felt like I was dragging a paracute. On the way back, I decided to take off my jacket and I was perfectly fine, not cold what so ever. I felt real good going through the farm lands on the way back, partially due to the tail wind and the fact that my knee pains seemed to ahve disappeared. My right calf muscle was in check as well. There were only hints of soreness but it never manifested itself. The bike and gear are in great working order. No creaking when going out of the saddle, no clue why.
