October 29 attempt at the 100k MTB Ride

Another attempt to complete my 100k loop ride. Started out well, the long Schnebly Hill climb went easily. I was cruising FH226 about 12 miles an hour thinking to myself that I should be home by 3:30pm when reality struck. The light rain and sleet I had been riding in for the last 14 miles decided it was time to turn the forest road into pottery quality clay. I finally made it, to Flagstaff, about 9:30 pm after 6 hours of mostly walking my mud caked bike out of the woods to a paved highway and then a 31 mile road ride.

Looking at your time, you crushed this ride! We did the reverse and it took us over 8 hours, and thats a net descent. Great work!

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
