Training objective: two hours with the cadence between 70-75 rpm's and the heart rate at 150-155 bpm's.
1st of this week's 4-part block session. That rpm/heart rate range is a tight one to keep in, especially early in the ride when the legs are feeling fresh - I really had to remind myself to dial it back at times. Hit 160 bpm's a couple of times when I wanted to get clear of other riders so I could just focus on my own training. And gave it a bit of gas on part of the 3rd lap, which also took it up to about 160 bpm's. And of course, the wind got progressively stronger with each lap of Ronde Hoep. Got caught behind a tractor for about 2 minutes with 13 minutes to go, but then resumed the session.
Hit the lap button to indicate the start of the two-hour session after a 14 minute warm-up, then again for the 25 minute cool-down back to the fietsenstalling.
Have a service scheduled for the bike with Tom @Amersfoort Mechanieker on Monday - hope it lasts that long without the BB bearings seizing up - a fair bit of rust is leaking out and running down the crank arms. Well, that's gotta be worth a few extra watts, work-out wise! :)

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
