Training objective: just a couple of tempo rides this weekend to get the legs going again. 2 hours each with the heart rate at 140-150 bpm's and the cadence between 75-85 rpm's and just ride.
Did an easy 15 minute warm-up, then the 2 hour ride, followed by about a 7 minute cool-down, as indicated by the lap/split function.
Bit of a crappy effort - my heart rate was a good 5-10 bpm's over target right from the outset, even without that much effort. It could be due to a poor sleep last night, not sure, but a bit frustrating - I suppose could have really slowed things down, but I didn't and eventually resigned myself to it being one of those days and just went with it, trying to bring the heart rate down with some breathing exercises when I noticed it getting at 155 bpm's or so.
Did a little bridge sprint about the 44 km mark through, which got the blood pumping, but at least that was planned....
Oh,well. Will deviate from plan a bit to do a longer group ride tomorrow.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
