Training objective: short hard one hour ride with the cadence between 70-80 rpm's to keep the legs race ready.
Did a little 10 minute warm-up (heart rate at or below 140 bpm's) to get out of the city traffic, then hit the lap function for the 1st half of the circuit, again on the way back and at the starting point of the circuit for the last little stretch to the fietsenstalling. Quite a bit faster pace - even though I could still feel the legs from the last few long rides, that mini-block training session last week really helped. Kept the pace between ~37 km/hr for the training circuit, despite a strong head and cross-wind at times (and, I suppose, with occasionally!), and having to slow for blocked roads/traffic at times.
Turns out the Klim Classic is not a race but an "tour-like" event (the following is from the rules sent out yesterday: "Het karakter van de fietstocht is geen wedstrijd, maar een toeristische prestatie tocht."). Oh well. Tomorrow was supposed to be a rest day ahead of the 170 km event on Thursday, but will do a ride of ~2 hours in the afternoon with Bart. The weather is supposed to be fantastic, so looking forward to it - a great little leg stretch ahead of #theride!

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
