Training objective: 2 hours on any terrain with the cadence between 75-85 rpm's and the heart rate at 130-140 bpm's. If the legs feel good put some really hard efforts into the last 30 minutes of the ride.
Rode with another fellow, so couldn't really manage to keep a consistent endurance pace - often below and occasionally higher, at least on the hills. We started off a bit on the fast side of (say 145 bpm's) bu that didn't last too long, as my ride partner seemed to be struggling, so we ended up going slower (he set the initial pace). I had to slow even further at times or loop back. Oh well. Gave it a bit on a few sections towards the end. Still couldn't wish for a better day out there! Zebras spotted next to the fence on one section - try that in Amsterdam!
Rest day tomorrow. May go out and hit a bucket or two of balls and put golf coach Val Holland's lessons to work. :)

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
