Wow, disappointing - I was hoping for a 7 hour finish. I was seeded in Batch E, the very last group, so it was very crowded and slow to start. Then I lost my cadence meter (I hit the lap/split function when I noticed it), and then whoa, what a cramp-fest from the 56 km mark right to the very end (it let up a bit with 10 km to go). There wasn't a muscle that wasn't cramping - thighs, aductors, calves, hamstrings, forearms and hands (I had to shift the front derailleur with my right hand!). This made the climbs brutal, even with a light cadence - there was no way I could push it.
I made the mistake of standing up for a stretch at one point and both legs seized up from my ankles to my groin. Yikes! I had Cramp Care tablets which I was taking as directed, but they didn't do any good. I stopped at the First Aid table at about the 4th water point (km 86?) and asked if they had anything for cramps - they sprayed my legs with DryHeat and gave me a couple of Rennies tablets. I guess the Rennies must have kicked in just in time to do the last big climb, but but I even got a bad cramp while eating my Spur burger at the finish. Yikes!

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
