Training objective: hard tempo ride for 60-90 minutes at a very hard pace, with a cadence of 65-75 rpm's and heart rate at 150 bpm's.
Had a bad headache last night and only got a couple of hours sleep, so was pretty tired today. Decided to save the ride for late in the afternoon so I could rest up from last night's "race".
Strong wind against - like cycling in the eye of a hurricane - had to dig deep to maintain the pace and keep the bike wheels side up! Checked Windy app when I got home and it showed Easterly wind speed of 35 km/hr and gusts of 50 km/hr at Oudekerk a/d Amstel, and I believe it. Really reminded me of when we rode together in Hermanus back in April, Morne (remember that crazy wind?). Okay, it wasn't quite as bad as that, but close!
Despite the wind, I still managed 10 new Strava PR's. I've also been looking at Strava's estimated 25W power distribution for my rides lately. I seem to really be getting the Watts up there, which is great. It's all about that power we've built up through training, right? I never thought I'd get to 350-400W... (check today's ride as well as last night's Sloten "race" for the distribution).
Will either take a rest day tomorrow, or have an easy ''çoffee" ride tomorrow.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
