Training objective: 2 hours at very hard effort, with the heart rate at 155-165 bpm's and the last half hour as hard as possible.
Bit of ENE and E wind against @ 11-20 km/hr, but happy with the result. Had to brake to avoid a potential collision at the 48 km mark.
2 KOM’s (which I held previously - so I improved my times on these 2 segments), plus 24 new personal records (2 in the top 20, 1 in the top 25) and surpassed my goal of doing the 61 km circuit in 1 hr 45 minutes – I did it in 1 hour 43 minutes 52 seconds. Also new personal record for 40 kms – did it in 1 hour 4 minutes 46 seconds. Not bad considering wind and no peloton benefit.
Strava estimates my watts/kg for this ride as follows:
1 minute: 4.85 watts/kg
5 minutes: 4.38 watts/kg
20 minutes: 4.06 watts/kg
1 hour: 3.48 watts/kg
Used the lap/split function, so lap 1 is the first 60 minutes, lap 2 is the 2nd hour, and lap 3 is the cool-down.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
