Training objective: tempo ride of 2-4 hours with heart rate between 145-155 bpm and cadence between 70-80 rpm
The group ride (it was wet so just 3 of us, and soon after we started one guy dropped out, so just 2 of us) was a bit too slow for me to get the cadence and heart rate in the target range. When the cadence was there, the heart rate was only between 100-130. So I decided to forget about trying to manage numbers and just take it as an easy recovery ride. But we often had a strong headwind - especially in the 50-85 km mark, so it wasn't a complete walk in the park.
Then I decided to add on a proper Tempo ride at the end for about 45 km (and get the 130 km Strava Gran Fondo for August - do coaches hate those because it distracts their athetes from the plan? hmmm). Anyway, the Tempo ride was good and I kept it in the range the whole time and didn't worry about speed, just focused on cadence and heart rate, even though the wind was quite a bit stronger by then.
Turned out to be over 4 hours, but the 1st part was so easy I figured it would be okay. I'll take it easy tomorrow.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
