After fixing the sticky rear caliper / rear brake cable I decided to head out for a quick ride just to check everything was working correctly. Was going quite well, until I got on to the road at the back of Balmirmer (near Muirdrum). Riding along quite nicely and the road suddenly turns to a muddy stoney mess from farmers tractor as it leads off a field. Catch the edge of one sizeable stone and bang! instant flat tyre. Never a good thing. On checking I noticed that it was a one inch tear in the side wall. Bugger! Improvised a tyre boot using one of these foil backed double puncture patches ... I pedalled standing up (to reduce rear wheel load) all the way home (11 miles!) ... legs completely buggered, but glad I made it. Was really worried for a minute or two. Farmers do a grand job, but they`re a bloody nuisance when they spread their fields all over the roads ... grrrr.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
