From the backwoods of Pedernales State Park to Austin (Shobie, Dean, and Annabelle’s House). Bike hiked out of my camp spot, more rolling hills. Outskirts of Austin was not fun to ride due to traffic and no shoulder but the center of town is fine.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Tomoko! You made it to Austin! Still living vicariously through you here in El Paso. The wildflowers are so beautiful!
They,
Hey Patrick, the riding has been great. I love the hill country with its roller coaster roads. You can build up some steam going down and then barely having to pedal to the next slope. And the wildflowers are expansive and so faintly fragrant. So many people I meet are so kind offering places to stay, money, or nice chats. I love the urge to give and participate. I’ll be in Austin for a few more days for music and food and whatever else I can find. My sister is coming to join me then I’ll go to Houston with her for some more break time. And your trip is approaching. Must be fun planning for that. This is a slightly cumbersome way to chat. I can’t read all that I’ve typed. All the best,
I just typed a bunch but don’t know if there is a limit, at least on my phone I can’t see it all.
Doing good Tomoko. I've been checking on your progress almost every day. Looking forward to seeing you in NOLA. You may get here in time for Jazz Fest!!!
Andie
Hi Andie, on my phone I can’t see your whole message so it’s probably better to text me. I’m in Houston taking a break at my sister’s place and will probably get back on the later this week then it’s only 8 days until I could be in New Orleans. Will you be around? There is some weather coming though on Friday and Saturday so I’m wondering when to start pedaling again. But I’ll let you know when I get started again. Thanks for contacting me.
