In hindsight, my legs were too tired to do such a long ride and I probably should've started closer to Pt. Reyes and skipped the Equator Coffee ride.
It WAS nice to meet some new people but today was more epic than I wanted it to be.
I don't think I ever need to ride out to the lighthouse again. The views weren't that great and the road just got worse the closer you get to the lighthouse. You can't even enjoy the descents, the roads so badly beat up.
And it was really windy and cold out there. I almost took off the base layer before leaving Equator. I'm glad I kept it.
I also had lunch later than I thought I would, close to 3p. I considered riding on but I'm glad I went back to Pt. Reyes Station to eat. I needed it. The pizza at Cafe Reyes was pretty good. The pastry I had at Bovine before the lighthouse was just okay.
On the way back I found part of the dirt path through Samuel P. Taylor Park. It totally lifted my spirits in a way that I didn't realize I needed. I really wish I found the rest of the trail.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
