From Central City, to Liberty Wells, to Sugarhouse, then Ballpark and back... this mellow line meanders the paved path of poshness that is South of downtown. Taking sweet-swoopdies and utilizing SLC's existing bike infrastructure (McClelland Trail, S-Line, 300 West, and the 9-line) we call this one "nice."
Points of interest (in order): Loki Coffee, Liberty Park, 9th and 9th, McClelland Trail, Tea Zante, Sugarhouse Pub, Fairmont Park, S-Line, SLCC Campus, RoHa Brewing, Ballpark Trax station, 300 W Bike Path, SLC Bicycle Collective, 9-line, Normal Ice cream.
Ideal bike: the one you have.
Surfaces: concrete (streets, sidewalks, parking lots)
Difficulty: easy (green circle)
Ideal group size: 1 - 30 riders
Time: ride takes roughly 1.5 hours at a social pace.
Ideal pace: leisurely, social, party, explorational, cruisey.
Traffic: moderate. Always ride right, assertively and defensively.
Best time of day to ride: in the mornings or evening's when traffic is slower.
Best season: year round. Although shoulder season's are great due to good temperatures, and winter is great because the line is dry year round.
Downsides: there are a couple semi-busy intersection crossings, and Normal Ice Cream closes at 10pm :(
Upsides: family friendly, explorational, no hills, fun, social, pocket parks, and some secret nooks and crannies...
Bonus: on the edges of the line, look for features (drops, jumps, whoopdies, skinnies, sneak throughs, etc) and feel free to improvise. All of town is a flowfactory mecca!
Double bonus: start the ride with coffee, end the ride with a drink anywhere in Sugarhouse or 9th and 9th... or ice cream from Normal.
Encouragement: find creativity in your line and improvise along the way. Be open to what you see along the way, you never know what town will provide!

Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
