Decided to get away from the persistent freezing fog in Oregon City and head out to Hillsboro for a ride. Started from Liberty High School (which would end up being a big mistake after I finished the ride). Sunny and 46 degrees to start. The first 14 miles covers Helvetia Rd to Jackson Quarry Rd then Jackson School Rd and eventually up Pumpkin Ridge Rd. A few chill pockets with frost on the roadway in shaded areas. The next 6 miles is on flats to the rest stop at St. Francis of Assisi Church (mile 20). Nice cruise on NW Greenville Rd to Clapshaw Hill Rd. Most of the 1.2 miles on Clapshaw Hill were shaded with frost on the road. More chill pockets on Hillside and Thatcher Rd. The next 7 miles went through Verboort to Cornelius-Schefflin Rd and eventually back into Hillsboro. Final 5 miles on Evergreen Parkway to 59th then Brookwood and back to the school. Finished the ride just as a school bus brigade was departing. Tied up in school traffic to Cornelius Rd.
