Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It's getting warmer. In the 80's now. Favorable winds for today's ride. I installed new cleats. I bought the Speedplay cleats that have covers for walking. I measured the placement of the old cleats before installing the new ones. I think I got it right. The only exception is the heal rotation. It has too much inner rotation, so I'll have to adjust that before the next ride. The knees didn't complain much, so that's a good sign. I made it to the summit in good average time. There was traffic from behind, as I was descending. So, the tempo was a bit higher than normal. When I reached the summit, I put my walkman to play the new Eric Johnson album. I told myself that I should reach the summit by the time the album repeats. I ended up making it the summit before that happened. The ascent went well. I was a bit worried about the heat and how much my provisions would last. In the end, I had plenty. The ascent went well with respect to concentration. I kept my mind focused on landmarks. Keeping tabs on my core temperature (at least, what I was able to feel). I was feeling the heat. There were hot pockets here and there. I was sweating the whole way, but I had it under control. Balance and form felt good. The new cleats need adjustments as said. Gear is working well. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Some slight left hip soreness. Likely due to the new cleat configuration. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
