Today was a single route. I forgot to start the GPS till I reached Mariposa. Thus, missing about 5-6 , minutes of data. It wasn't one for the record books, so no worries. The weather was hotter than the previous ride. The wind was from the North West and on the cool side in some places. The legs felt ok, but the heat just didn't allow my body to reach the upper HR's. I wasn't digging to hard today, but I did put in some good efforts here and there. The wind was mostly East/West. I was practicing form on the way out to WS. It was ok, but not great. After the turn-around point, I headed back, no stoppages. The wind was near perfect headwind. So, I was crawling on the way back. I think I was doing some brain-storming, thinking about what the next big ride is going to be. A definite tripple / 50+ Mi ride. I haven't made up my mind yet. After reaching the summit of Highline, I was able to relax and enjoy the trip back. I put in a slight dig o the downhill on OTR return. There was traffic from behind and I didn't want to hold them up. I topped out at around 40MPH. One of them zoomed pasted me. Must have been doing 50. Concentration was good today. No gremlins. Balance and form was good, not great. Ailments, next to none. Some hand soreness. And the usual heat exhaustion. Gear is working well. I have to install new handle-bar tape and cable housings. Still deciding whether or not to buy new black colored cable housings. Other notes, I saw 1 cyclist toting a mini trailer. Couldn't tell what was inside, though.
