Start time was 8:46am, not the 9:46 RWGPS says. Known issue still exists about incorrect time. Finished 7:34pm
Time to finish off this solo 600k pre-ride! 2 hot days and windy. this day brought a lot of miles on bike trails, and the challenge of the climb in Saddlebrooke and up to Oracle.
Before that though, there was the gorgeous Loop Trail up to Avra Valley Rd. there was water in the stream adjacent to trail, a lot of water. at 1 point it looked like somebody was doing stream measurements.
The route veered off the Loop, there at Avra Valley rd, but it appeared that the Loop continued a bit to east and then turns back west and goes to old Marana area! Suggesting to Mike that we use this Loop instead of Avra Valley Rd, for next time.
The gradual climb up Tangerine was a challenge. the early 2 miles were under construction and the rest, well I was tired. yet it is very pretty. Its was during this time that I realized that a large chunk of Marana is on the east side of I-10, when I saw a sign of exiting Marana.
saddle Brooke was gorgeous with a brand new, widened road with added bike lane in each direction. yet in the end climb out, I opted to walk the bike at the 12% spit due to tired and swirling wind that I didn't want to fight at that grade and traffic.
then up to Oracle on crappy shoulder and lots of cars. I finally got to circle k. had 2 muscle milk and 1 Gatorade as that was a package deal.also ate an egg salad sandwich with some crackers. probably would not do muscle milk again as it didn't sit well.
then nice ride down the crappy oracle road and onto the bike trails. nice. my goal was to finish the river bike trails at sunset and enjoy the last 5 miles through the nice neighborhood as my "hail ceasar" return and end to a good ride event.
Drove back to phx with a stop at Culvers for burger and root beer shake to celebrate earning my SR series of 200, 300, 400, and 600.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
