#6 (and penultimate) of the EKTIN Series. Got off to late start (intended 0800h to beat the potential heat, but between sleeping in, lollygagging to Paso and [somewhat surprising] enjoying the ambience and coffee at Kreuzberg [formerly Amsterdam when I was last in that building], it ended up being an 0845 departure. Hey, I'm now #261 for the segment of road known as The River 4 (from the left off Cross Canyon Road onto North River and ending at the Wellsona stop sign) and set a personal best: shaving a whole ten minutes off my March 31 2014 time (without really recalling that time other than vaguely recalling some of the roads I was on today from that North County period of my life). Anyway, a nice RwGPS feature to instill a little self-competition and perhaps use it as a way of connecting dots within the ridership: Best time overall is 8:29, so while I'm not even close to that in my wheelhouse, shaving off 9 seconds and "leaping up and over" #255 (one Steve Workman) could be next intention to set when I'm next in vicinity....One word of caution for this route: The left from Linne Road on to Penman Springs Road is night and day, the first stretch of PSR being unpaved , so bumpy, choppy, gravelly and shifty-sandy.
