Rode solo, and this was my first time finishing a double in under 12 hours. Started with the 6AM group and stayed with them as long as I could, but lost them in Round Valley. Limited my stopped time to only 25:30 with the help of very good volunteers at the stops. Legs were shot by the time I was climbing to Sage Hen Summit, but recovered with the downhill and was able to push after leaving Benton (with favorable winds for the first time in my experience) and caught a couple of guys that were working well together; I recovered for a few minutes drafting them, and then started working with them, but one of the guys started to bonk and they asked me to slow down. I stuck with them for about 10 miles, but as I watched the clock, I finally had to beg off and get on with it. Hurt my right knee putting on my socks in the morning, and it hurt to unclip, but that did not really slow me down any, just made me reluctant to get off the bike...
My timing chip did not capture my start time or finish time, so Deb entered me as starting at 6:00:00, while I started third from the last, seconds behind TJ whose start time was 6:03:48. Likewise, she had to enter my finish time manually, or my rider number, so there was a short delay while she did that manually on her laptop. So, my actual total time was 11:41:08, not the 11:45:08 shown on the results.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
