I was trying to get out early but that didn't happen. Have some issues with my laptop. I think I just got most of it repaired, it has been a long process. Now I have another issue, the "A" key isn't working so I need to use a work around to type that letter. Back the ride, my legs were a little flat, but Mr. Wind was sort of at my back so I had an easy start which caused me ride a little faster then I had planned. I did an out and back ride. Most of the roads were great except for the gravel that was thrown up on the road. The other nice thing once on Range Rd (Ft. Dix) there is only one U turn at the end of the road paved road, one intersection where you need to slow down for crossing traffic even though I have the right of way. Then there is 3 lights on the way out that are pretty close together where I normally hit 2 of the 3 lights. This ride has some rolling South Jersey hills (small but does slow you down and makes you work). The first 2 hill starts at 3 miles then another at 5 miles, then from 12 miles to 18 miles are the rollers. You turn round where the road ends and repeat everything back. The ride is quiet except for the military trucks and personnel that travel on the road. Now if they are using the firing range it will be loud from rifle, cannon, mortar and other explosions. Then I avoid the area plus I might get escorted out. I have been riding out there when they are doing small arms target practice and never been forced out. Then again by the time they would send someone out I am on my way back out besides being an older rider they may think I am a military personnel or retired military. I know I get some hard looks from the security vehicles. The wind made this ride more difficult then it had to be especially the last 5 miles. Felt good at the end of the ride other than sharp back pains.
