Emonda. Mostly sunny with some high clouds, very cool, 42 at the start and warming up to 44 or so by the finish, steady 10 mph West wind shifting to WNW by the end - perfect conditions for a solo Heads Or Tails ride. Very hard ride out, mostly all into the wind and generally uphill. Averaged 15.1 mph to the turn around point at 20.3 miles (felt good so added 6 miles to the planned route). Pretty much flew back, finished full ride with 18.2 average, including a #3 rank from University to Hwy 23 (I own top 3 ranks) and a #1 rank (PB) on the Howison to Dauberman segment, pretty amazing for a December ride. Both segments were over 24 mph average speed. Good power output, hit a max of 1170W on one of 3 stomps. Dressed perfectly for the conditions: Gore heavy knicker bibs, new road boots with double socks, long sleeve base, the zippered Rapha jacket and doubled up on gloves. TSS: 128, IF: 75, Avg power: 209W, Norm: 212W, Max: 1170W with a second at 1154W.
