D'Emonda. Cloudy, almost foggy at times, cooler than lately, 74 at the start, 79 at the finish but still very humid, WSW/West winds @ 6-15 mph. Started at Kaneland High School around 8:00 am, rode with Joe Mozden out to Creston then back through Malta, Dekalb, Cortland and Maple Park. Tough ride out with mostly uphill and pretty steady Westerly winds. We saw maybe a 1/2 dozen other riders, mostly on Keslinger returning East. We had periods of low hanging clouds and misting with high humidity. Stopped at the Creston Casey's for a snack and water refill. Return was mostly tail wind and we rode very fast at times. Did a couple of re-routes: first was a U turn on Keslinger to pick up my water bottles: Second was changing from Beith Rd in Cortland to ride on Keslinger from County Line to avoid a thunderstorm. Good ride, first metric distance for the 2025 season. Stopped at Lodi Tap House for lunch afterwards.
