Descending Hwy 84, after lunch at Alice's Restaurant, the road was mostly dry with some damp patches. The last fast sharp right-hander at the bottom of the descent, my rear wheel started to slide out and then gripped all of a sudden. I have no idea what I hit to cause the slide or for the tire to hook up again but I'm glad it did and that it was the rear and not the front!
Once again, I left too late to do the long ride I had wanted to do but thanks to Charlotte for motivating me to get out anyway. I decided to part of my original ride, to check out Skyline Trail from Kings southward. It turns out, bikes aren't allowed! BOO!
Descending Crestview Dr. I decided to let it coast and not brake. It's like a black diamond ski run it's so steep but also wide open. Then I looked down to see that I was doing 47mph and decided I didn't need to go any faster. :)
It was pretty cold today. I felt way colder than Saturday in the rain even though the temperature was pretty much the same. I had no idea how much warmth the Gore Shakedry jacket was giving me that day. I wasn't wearing it today because it wasn't raining but I brought it with me just in case it made all the difference. It never did rain but the clouds were starting to look ominous at the end.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
