Forgot to write any sort of ride summary after posting this so this is what I remember 4 months later:
The previous night I got a camping site at Desoto state park on a very cold night for even early March. The campsite was up on Lookout Mountain and was fairly exposed to the northwest wind which was blowing all night, I was the only one in the tent camping area and I chose a campsite that was the most sheltered from the wind. The night was very cold and I wore every bit of clothing i had inside my sleeping bag which was rated for the mid twenties. I managed to sleep but I woke up a lot. It was 19 on my computer when I left the campsite and I was fine at first but did not bring shoe covers and my feet were numb for most of the morning and it was quite painful. I stopped several times to try and warm my feet up but i didn't get any relief until midday when the temps finally got up above forty. I spent a good while at the state line on a deserted paved road warming my feet in the sun while listening to the sound of cracking ice in the puddles nearby as they thawed.
Enjoyed the trails and gravel on the way to Chattanooga and the ride through Chickamauga park was great. I celebrated finishing the cloudland connector trail by downing a mountain dew that I had packed out all the way from Desoto state park for just that purpose.
I was forced to alter the route in Chattanooga due to my late arrival to cut through the Audubon Acres property before they closed the gate. Thus I had to ride on some really crappy and busy roads for awhile but it was actually not terrible because traffic was SO bad it was moving very slow and I kept up with it and didn't get passed. After that section I had a few deserted streets but was on more crappy collector roads with lots of evening commuter traffic. I think I did the best I could with the route but that part of town has some really shitty riding and it's just unavoidable plus it was a terrible time to go through that part. Finally though I arrived safely at the path in Collegedale right as darkness descended. After a short wait at the path for my wife to arrive in the car I rode up to our AirB&B for the night at Hidden Hills saddle club in an old airstream style trailer on a horse farm.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
