It was gorgeous! Perfect weather. Deer and bunnies about. I think over 50% of the ride was unpaved. I'm pretty pleased with myself. :)

The new lower gearing helped so much today. Did a lot more climbing on the bike than off this time.
Despite all the sun we've had, there was still quite a bit of mud. Dirt Alpine was more like Mud Alpine for most of the upper half of it. I feel like I hiked at least half of that climb.
Because it took so long, I ended up cutting Russian Ridge a little short and not doing all the trails I wanted to. To mix it up I did the reverse of the trails I'd already done. Next time I do it though, counter-clockwise is the best way to do those trails.
Monte Bello had great trails. I didn't anticipate having to do so much climbing but thankful for the lower gears. Despite the lose gravel, traction was pretty good. I think I'm just getting better at handling the different surfaces. And again, I had to cut it a little short so I could make it back before sunset, which I just managed to do.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
