Cooler start at 64 degrees. Nice and sunny with a 15 knot headwind all the way. Great coastal scenery. Marginal Way cliff walk in Ogunquit great views, spoiled by bike leaning on tree. Perkins Cove and the house that was once rentable have been rebuilt to gated house area at the end of the point. Unfortunately the bridge there across the cove I expected to use, had four flights of stairs on that side, so I went back out to the main road.
York Beach was handy with refill of gator aid.
York had some tiny people in the park. When in York one must visit the world's smallest suspension bridge, the wiggly bridge, lest the tiny people be offended.
Cape Neddick and "The Nub" (Nubble Light) are of course a must stop. And they had a nice sweatshirt which is now adding weight to my bike.
But there wasn't time to stay and get what I'm advised is the best blueberry cheesecake in Maine at Fox's.
Kittery Point and Fort McClary were great lunch stop. The Gardens at Prescott Park in Portsmouth were best I've seen them. Wallis Sands Beach was open to use the beach. but no "facilities" or staff.
The head wind hill kept me climbing all the way south along the shore, but the clear air and views were great.
Some nut was out in a Sunfish near where one of the first cross atlantic cable came ashore.
