Well who would have thought I stayed on a man made island last night ! I left Middelharnis on flat fields and as I approached the Mainland there was a double crossing with two sets of sluices.
All there was to take any photos of was windmills and sluices !
Once across I avoided crossing what looked like the Tyne Bridge and stayed west of the Scheide Rijnkanaal. I was now chasing barges and pretty much matched them down to Tholen, where I eventually crossed the 3rd steel arched bridge I passed to get across to Bergen op Zoom.
I routed through an old Wall gate into the centre, a large open square surrounded by cafes and impressive buildings. Then there was a clised road and diversion through a forest track to deal with followed by a pretty awkward 10miles into Antwerp which was a bit of a busy commute.
