Pretty brisk SE wind and temps in the low, low 70s thanks to an overnight cold front but really a nice day to get out. The last 4 miles appear to be dead into the wind but the neighborhoods and trees broke up the wind rather well. Felt plenty strong, contact points were a tiny bit grumpy (leftover from the bigger ride day before yesterday) but everything else was juuuuust fine. Was concerned about traffic, especially because it really picks up when the moms go get they kids from school starting around 2:30 or 3. But wait! It's Yom Kippur and schools be out! Yaaay... and sure enough, it was a pretty chill traffic day. Also first ride with the new rear-facing radar unit, which displays cars/other riders sneaking up behind you on your garmin screen. Game changer for the hearing challenged! Don't need no stinking stupid looking rear view mirror on the glasses! Winner!
