Started today at 633am on a reverse direction this #5393. A bit chilly at 62F for start, so wore a vest and arm warmers. Removed those after 30 minutes. Fun to have them on for a change! Wanted to try out going to the White Tank Park 1st so did a reverse. Got going just as the sun was coming out. Took a nice easy pace. Saw 2 different roadrunners, with the first in Verrado at the park on Main St where Sonja did yoga. He seemed to be sunning himself. I got a pic of him. The second roadrunner was later in ride and did not have time to get the camera. In Verrado at mile 42.5 I was passed by 2 folks on electric bikes. I was a trike that the guy installed a kit motor and battery. I ended up seeing them at a couple other spots, like on Lost Dog. As I was leaving Verrado, around mile 50, I pressed my left shifter big lever and there was a sound of plastic cracking. So I was stuck with the front in the middle sprocket, which was ok. So I made it home. Once home, I pressed the left side small lever ( to move to smaller front sprocket) and that worked, so that confirms that the cable is working and that the shifter itself is bad. So ordered a new shifter. See Maintenance Log.
