Started the Metric with Barbara (PBK), her friend Marilyn, Bunny?, and a fellow. They were all very strong and took 2 mile pulls into headwinds. Mostly I sat on the back and tried to stay on. We did 17.6 for first hour, even with some missed turns. Then on River Rd we missed an arrow - GPS said so, but I was too out of breath to mention it effectively. I lost them on a hill and tried to get back on course with GPS, cue sheet, asking 3-4 people. Shifted to the 45 mile course with an extra 6 miles of backtracking and ridge climbing. Met two ladies, Julie and Lisa, who got a 30 minute late start. Tried to draft Lisa back up a couple of times w/o success, so rode with Julie and made sure Lisa was in view. Started to pull when we got back to NBPT - still 7 miles to go. Picked up 2 other riders. Then about 2 miles to go we ran into huge headwinds. So I let others go and waited for Lisa and this time she held my wheel, we caught up with the others, and everyone got in with big smiles.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
