Seven. Cloudy and cold, in the low 40's, brisk, gusty wind from the NW died down over the course of the ride. Started from downtown Geneva, parked on Hamilton St near Nosh restaurant. Got a late start near 12:30. Low temps and high humidity limited other people from the trail, only spotted 5 other riders and maybe a dozen hikers out. Stuck mostly to the Fox River Trail, rode down as far as the Virgil Gilman Trail then headed back up the FRT. All the snow has melted, no rain but the trail was wet in places and overall just damp. Good pace but all the extra bike gear weighs you down and restricts mobility. I stayed warm though with a wool base + my favorite winter jersey, Rapha bib tights, 2 layers of wool socks + my old Shimano boots and I tried out the new 45 NRTH Sturmfist 4 gloves - very warm but too cumbersome for road shifters, so I'll limit using them to the MTB and fat bike. Stopped by the Geneva Ale House for some soup and a couple of pops.
