Ralph, Kevin, Della & I had a nice ride up Alum Creek Sunday.
We rolled out of the parking lot at the North-East corner of Easton Way & Sunbury road around 1:15 pm.
A little cool but not bad at all.
There was a game in progress as we rolled North past the soccer field.
Had a nice ride up to Heritage Park where we snapped the ride picture.
Yeah, I finally figured out how to use the timer on my camera :-) .
It was starting to get warm by the time we hit Heritage Park & some changed to lighter gloves and peeled off the jacket.
We decided to ride North on Cleveland avenue to County Line road where we turned East so we could ride North over the new bridge.
Lots of runners, dog walkers, & D frame riders.
Even encountered a few low riders on the Genoa section of the trail.
Some nice color in the tree leaves as we rolled by.
We rolled on up to McNamara Park for our second pit stop.
Everyone was feeling good so we went on up to Plumb road before we turned around.
There was talk of rolling on into Galena to add a few miles but the Sun was getting a little low and we knew it would be cooler soon so we started back.
Ralph needed a little lube for his bike so we stopped at the Trek store at Maxtown Road.
The crew there saw the rest of us out the back door and came out to chat a bit.
They asked about the trail conditions up North and commented about the cool weather.
Offered to fill our water bottles and said they regretted not having any hot chocolate for us!
The ride back to Easton area was the coolest part of the ride.
Ralph & Kevin rode down to the South end of the soccer field and Ralph took the pic of the bridge construction.
