Fun ride today but there was so much traffic all day. And then on the way back in to the city, SO MANY TOURISTS!!! Kinda took away some of the fun from the ride. :(
Really glad we stopped at the Coffee Roastery in Fairfax. I didn't really have breakfast, just a Probar. I was going to get a pastry but right at the counter was a Ham, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Sandwich - a Croissandwich. It was huge and I didn't think I would finish it but it was so good and so what I was craving that I did.
I'm beginning to think Bovine Bakery isn't all that, at least no for their savory stuff. The last time I was there, I had their pizza and it was kinda terrible. This time, I order a Ham & Cheese Croissant, because I was still craving something savory, and a Morning Bun, because it looked good and Camy wanted a bite of one.
The croissant was terrible. I can't even describe the consistency of it but it wasn't that of a croissant. It was closer to a potato bread or even a little like focaccia. I had half of it and couldn't eat anymore.
Fortunately the Morning Bun was delicious! Gabe ended up getting one too and managed to stretch that into an Afternoon Bun and had it all the way to our lunch stop.
We were supposed to climb East Peak but at the top of Bofax, we were all low on water and barely made it through Seven Sisters. Instead of climbing up, we went down to Pantoll Station to get water. People wanted to stop for snacks. I really wanted to get some fries at Pelican Inn but people wanted to do a quick stop. The original plan was to go to 7-Eleven but Stevo recommended Good Earth instead.
I kinda wish we went to 7-Eleven. I was sorta looking forward to just having a hot dog. I ended up getting the Empanadas at Good Earth. I thought they were going to be delicious but the pastry was kinda dry and the chicken filling was kinda dry and tasteless. The best thing was the guac that came with it.
