Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Early start to meet Iain at Uxbridge. First stop is Amersham for refreshments. Joined by John. Making good time we climb the Chilterns from Gt Missenden and arrive at P. Risborough. Our leader, Keith is unloading his car. Tony C is already there. Jim S turns up on his bike, having found a place to park that doesn't incur charges. So off we go at 10am sharp and head along the Phoenix Trail. Heading north we pass St Tiggywinkles, wildlife sanctuary on our way to Haddenham and elevenses at The Norsk Cafe. Jim mends a puncture while we drink. Contuing northward we eventually reach the Eco Farm at Hogshaw, about a couple of miles north of Quainton. This is our lunch stop. We return to Risbourgh via Waddeson, Stone and Ford. After some refreshments, we disperse. For John Iain and myself, there is a long climb up the escarpment, but because of the gearing on my bike, I don't have to get off and walk, which is a blessing. The next climb is from Gt Missenden on a track leading up Frith Hill. This is noticeably steeper, and we are all walking this time. This is the end of the big hills and we are on a down trend from Amersham to Denham. We stop for refreshments at The Falcon in Denham Village. We go our separate way soon after. A long ride but good weather and good company.
Please note that I believe the total climb was nearer 3400ft rather than 4500ft.
