On 08/25/2014, Mark Manner wrote Power-Tap-Ghisallo-ride to Only, 55 degrees, windy, overcast. Nice to be outside. First road ride with all Pruitt adjustments made: seat, stem, bars, cleat wedge. It is much easier to ride in the drops (won't know for sure about descending for long distances until I get to a mountain). New seat post squeaks a bit (see notes under workout goals), will tighten. All feels well, saddle still a bit uncomfortable on sit bones. Will have to see how it progresses. Not too bad, and the saddle feels very stable and good otherwise.
As to 705 data vs. PT computer data, all match up well, using either smart record or 1 sec record on the Garmin. What doesn't match up well is the maximum power number. It was considerably lower on the Garmin than in the PT computer(10% less using 1 sec record, 30% less using smart recording). Since the average power does match up closely, this isn't a big issue unless you were doing very high intensity intervals. I will compare again when I do those. The 705 speed/distance data is good outdoors, but when indoors the ave speed/total distance data on the 705 is seriously low. Both the above were noted on the Wattage forum. ***

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
