To The Great Elephant Migration (Sp26 BONUS)

Absolutely beautiful (sunny & 80°F) Friday morning for a BONUS bike ride to see The Great Elephant Migration exhibit, a giant herd of 100 wooden elephants installed on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall in Boston's Back Bay. But first, Ruth took us on a detour to see the giant rhinoceros statues & "bug doors" at the Harvard Biology Lab (where she got her PhD.) We also detoured to see the "Pi π Bench" which sits along the Esplanade. We crossed 3 foot bridges, had spectacular views of the Charles River and rode mostly on bike paths & in designated bike lanes. The elephants were magnificent; each with different expressions & characteristics. We managed to get 2 group photos among the crowds. Stopped 2x at the Hatch Memorial Shell restrooms.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
