Imagine cycling 48 miles to a single track gravel trail just to discover that you really, really, really dislike off-road riding. I mean really! Manicured gravel okay for a few miles then it got really gnarly real fast. The deeper I went into DesPlaines River Trail the more I’ve dislike my route. Originally planned as a century. I still had 15 miles to go, at this rate I wouldn’t arrive home until late. All the trails were busy with activity. I’ve decided to take it easy, my day started fun and until around the suburb of Countryside then it had worsened in North Riverside. I few difficult intersections with some construction zones and traffic passing at 45 mph. My escape route wasn’t fun either, wahoo beep (wahoo needs to fix this) and attempt to reroute the entire trip. Various generations have had different ways of answering that question. It's a popular belief in today’s culture that truth can be whatever you want it to be. This is the idea that truth is relative and unique to every individual person. But if everyone lives their own truth, then nobody can truly know which one is right. And if one person’s truth contradicts another person’s truth, one of them must be wrong. When we know the truth, we are no longer living according to a lie. God’s Word tells us the truth and leads us to life. This is why Jesus says that the truth will set us free. That's when we become truly free to live according to how God designed us to live.
