Less wind, less cold today compared to yesterday. Lots of hikers, bicyclists, and motorcyclists out on the roads and trails enjoying the warmer temps today. Road to summit of Wachusett is now closed for the winter season to motor vehicle traffic, but still open to hikers and bicyclists. Snow is covering parts of one of the ski trails, including where it crosses the summit road, but was able to ride through it (only about an inch deep on road, and melting (deeper on the trail in spots). Stopped at Mountainside coffee / bakery Shop before summit attempt for a slice of banana bread and a morning glory muffin (raisins, walnuts, and carrot shreds). Sunny thru cirrus veil (sun dogs in sky today again as they were yesterday), air temp 61 F , dew pt 44 F, winds W and SW 10 to 15 mph.
