Blue Wash-Seven Springs Gravel Ride 2-27-20

Seven. Beautiful sunny day, pretty warm with minimal wind. Planned ride was 62 miles but it became apparent there weren't enough hours to complete that with the water and time I had on hand. Gravel conditions were horrible compared to Chicagoland - very rough, lots of rocks and washboards everywhere, as well as pretty steep long climbs. But... the views were spectacular and very little traffic. Over 5,000 feet of climbing with a lot of steep grades, very long hard workout. Highest elevation was around 4,800 feet, but didn't notice it. All but about 6 miles of the ride was on gravel.

Hi, Tom - sent you a RwGPS friend request. It would be great to get together for a ride, I've been doing solo trails and road riding, usually 4 or 5 days a week. I'm staying up in Tatum Ranch through March.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
