Fantastic solo ride; good weather, 3 good intervals for training, Starbucks for coffee, McDonalds for lunch and 2 fine visits and all done in one fine loop around Oro Valley and Marana.
Left home at 10 am and got home at 5 pm. Now that's a good day on a bike when the milage is only 46+ miles.
As you can see, one of the visits was our buddy Jim who is healing up, standing, taking nourishment and generally acting like an impatient patient who wants to ride his bike ASAP. Bonnie, his better half, says she's pleased with his progress.
I checked in on Larry Cody also and he is also recovering from a sore back. Annette is still getting in her miles.
This senior olympics thing last week got me thinking about trying to be quicker over short distances (like the LAST 1/4 mile of a race, so I tried a 5 min interval up Twin Peaks at nearly full tilt (to check watt output), then another from Tangerine to Moore (for moderate watt output) and finally from Moore to the traffic circle up Dove Mt.(for any steam I had left in the engine) Nice bench marks for future rides. Felt great.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
