這次騎行九龍的山,是偶然在網上搜尋資料時發現,這些山就在身邊,除了附近居民在晨運時會上去做運動外,其他地區的人甚少會到來。已經成為『網紅山』的嘉頓山和格仔山算是例外。補充一點,這裏所提到的山,是九龍市區內的山,不是指分隔九龍和新界之間一系列的山。
另外在山的名稱方面,正確名稱好多是不為人所知,嘉頓山和格仔山則是約定俗成的名稱,不是正確的山名。
這次路線的七個山,依照騎行次序,分別是靠背壟山、紅磡山、京士柏山、訊號山、嘉頓山、窩仔山、格仔山。這七個山,除了訊號山外,全都建設了配水庫,政府因利成便,在配水庫頂建設公園或球場,給市民使用。
靠背壟山
又被叫作採石山或紅燈山,因為那裏曾經是石礦場,我孩童時期就住在對面山,爆石後,我們一群孩子會走到礦場執拾引爆炸藥的電線。回去用火燒掉膠外層,銅線變賣後,作為零用錢。另外是山頂有一座飛機導航燈,引導飛機降落啟德機場。我雖然是住在那一帶,但係直到這次騎行,才是第一次上去。
紅磡山
又名 12 號山,據搜尋到的資料,有地圖標示 No.12,可能是那一帶山頭的編號,相信後來是其他開發建設,好多山頭消失了,剩下這個,政府又沒有更新,標記仍然是 No.12;而紅磡山的名字是有人考証出來的。另外還有一個較少人叫的是老龍坑山,因為山的東面,有一山谷是老龍坑,現在紅磡山下,也有一條老龍坑街。
京士柏山
是直接從英文名字 King’s Park 叫過來的,找不到是記念那一位英國皇帝,但係我認為,應該是喬治五世或六世吧。
訊號山
是因為那時山上設置了報時的訊號球,因此被稱為訊號山,而山的名稱是大包米。
嘉頓山
是因為嘉頓麵包的廠房就在山腳,而一般人又不知道山的名稱,叫作嘉頓山,方便溝通。山的名字其實叫喃嘸山。嘉頓山是一個網紅山,好多人上去拍攝日落和深水埗夜景。
窩仔山
位在窩仔街傍,當年也是位於飛機航線下,山上也有一座導航燈的。
格仔山
為什麼叫格仔山?這山也是位於飛機航道下,最接近啟德機場的一個小山,在山頂面向西面進入機場的航道,人工牆上,當局以橙、白兩色油漆,油上好多個橙白相間的格子。格仔山上除了設置導航燈,也設置導航雷達,也因此被稱作雷達山的,又因為位於樂富,也有叫作樂富山的,但係格仔山的名稱是最為人熟悉。

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
